Bessie O’Connor, RDN is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and a Community Nutrition Adviser with Dairy Council of California. In her role as a Community Nutrition Adviser, she provides resources and technical advising, increasing access to nutritious food and nutrition education to prioritize health equity in California.

Evette Tovar-Lugo is the California Program Manager for No Kid Hungry and an experienced community advocate with a passion and history for working with communities of color. Skilled in renewing tired practices and building strong programmatic foundations. Strong skills in partnership building, team leadership, case management, advocacy, grassroots organizing and public speaking.

Dairy Council of California is a nutrition education organization committed to elevating the health of children and families through the pursuit of healthy eating habits. Recently, the organization launched Let’s Eat Healthy, a movement that invites multi sector collaboration, coordination and co-creation to support children, families and healthier communities.

No Kid Hungry is a national campaign run by Share Our Strength, a nonprofit working to solve problems of hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world. After 25 years of successfully investing in local nonprofits and helping find the best approaches to eradicating poverty and hunger, Share Our Strength launched No Kid Hungry in 2010. As a child hunger organization, ending childhood hunger is our primary focus, though Share Our Strength continues to invest in and develop other campaigns.

California Dairy Council | Workplace Wellness

This training is online, prerecorded and self-paced. Four modules of 15 minutes each total 60 minutes of essential wellness strategies and provide 1 CEU credit. Training is free to school districts.
